Think $399.99 is expensive for a PlayStation 4? This aluminum Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) will run you $499.00 from Analogue Interactive. Clearly a collector’s item for the most die-hard Nintendo fans, the Analogue Nt comes standard in a natural aluminum finish, but can be anodized several different colors at a cost of $49.00: black, pink, blue and red.
In addition, an HDMI adapter is available for the console for $49.00 that is an external RGB to HDMI upscaler designed exclusively for the Analogue Nt. There’s no stretching involved, so it’s a true upscaler and outputs 1080p or 720p while preserving the original aspect ratio. There’s also a built-in scanline generator for the retro CRT feel.
And just in case your wallet is bulging out of your pants, a brand new OEM NES controller is available for $49.00 while a refurbished one will run you $29.00. There’s even refurbished OEM FAMICOM controllers for $29.00.
The Analogue Nt will ship in summer 2014 and the company is currently taking pre-orders.
