Bigby Wolf has been on our beat since the original episodes were rolling out back in 2013-2014, so it’s nice to finally have a date on the calendar: The Wolf Among Us Remastered launches October 29, two days before Halloween, on PlayStation 5, XBOX One, XBOX Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Telltale Games and co-publisher PM Studios confirmed the date today during gamescom 2026 alongside a new trailer.
The remaster includes all five episodes of the original, running through Faith, Smoke and Mirrors, A Crooked Mile, In Sheep’s Clothing, and Cry Wolf, covering Bigby’s first case as a grisly murder reveals something darker lurking beneath Fabletown. Players investigate crimes, question suspects, and make difficult choices that shape the story across the mature noir thriller, all built on Bill Willingham’s Fables comics. To bring it up to modern standards, Telltale has reworked the game with enhanced visuals, refined character and environment presentation, an updated user interface, improved accessibility features, and technical upgrades spanning animation, audio, resolution, and framerate.
The trailer also debuts Noir Mode, a new option that renders the entire game in black and white. On top of that, the remaster packs more than an hour of bonus content, including behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes exploring the making of the original.
The remaster was first announced back in June at Summer Game Fest, where The Wolf Among Us 2 also resurfaced with a 2027 window. As I said in my Dispatch review, I’m a huge fan of old Telltale games, with The Wolf Among Us sitting right alongside The Walking Dead and Tales from the Borderlands, and after following this franchise for more than a decade, a definitive version of Bigby’s first case is an easy sell for me.
