As promised, Naughty Dog has just released a short teaser trailer for the first story DLC for The Last of Us titled Left Behind. The short trailer may have surprised many, and it appears that Left Behind will tell the story of Ellie and the events leading up to The Last of Us.

Previously, Naughty Dog seemed adamant that the story of Joel and Ellie was completed, and it appears that Naughty Dog meant literally “Joel and Ellie.” Ellie herself will be making a return, and we’ll see how she becomes infected and probably witness the events that she spoke about during The Last of Us  including watching her friend turn after getting bitten.

No more details were announced beyond that, but expect more to come from Naughty Dog in the coming weeks. Hopefully a release date announcement is imminent.
