The Elder Scrolls Online has officially launched on the PC and Mac today and the company is celebrating with an epic cinematic trailer titled “The Siege.” The MMORPG is developed by ZeniMax Studios and will also be heading to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June.
The MMORPG is part of the storied franchise but is the first multiplayer instalment. The game was originally announced in May 2012 and requires a monthly subscription to play. It is the first project for ZeniMax Online Studios, which was formed in 2007 – when development of ESO began.
The cinematic trailer shows off Tamriel as it faces annihilation as Molag Bal has claimed the Imperial City while the alliances, locked in a bitter conflict with one another, struggle to seize the Ruby Throne from the clutches of Oblivion.
