In my review of The Division Resurgence at the end of March, my biggest takeaway was that the game nailed the feel of a mainline Division so well that I just kept wishing I was playing it on my PC. Well, today I can. Ubisoft has launched The Division Resurgence in early access on PC via Ubisoft Connect, alongside a fresh roadmap detailing what’s coming through the rest of the year.
The PC version isn’t its official launch yet. Ubisoft is positioning today’s release as a technical test ahead of the full PC launch in Season 2 this August. Cross-progression and cross-platform support are live from day one, so anything you do on PC carries over to mobile and vice versa, and your early access progress will transfer to the full PC launch. The PC version is currently exclusive to Ubisoft Connect, with no word on Steam or Epic Games Store availability.
The roadmap structures the year into seasons, with each season running four months and broken up into phases that drop new content every six weeks. Season 1’s next phase kicks off on May 12 with limited-time Dark Zone and Speed Run events, new camouflage and exotic weapon skins, and the Classified Ops 1.2 pass. That pass includes the Strawberry Milkshake free exotic weapon, the Pyromaniac apparel set, and the Hot Rod weapon skin. Phase 3 follows in June with Classified Ops 1.3, headlined by the Scorpio free exotic weapon, the Freemen apparel set, and the Boombox weapon skin.

Season 2 is when The Division Resurgence officially launches on PC. Season 3 hits this winter with what Ubisoft is calling a major story expansion, though no specifics yet on what that involves.
Personally, I’m going to give the PC version a real shot. The mobile experience was technically faithful to the mainline games but never quite figured out what it wanted to be on a phone or tablet, and a lot of my frustrations with the menu navigation, touch controls, and 60 FPS texture downgrade were platform issues rather than design issues. On a proper PC with a mouse and keyboard, those problems should go away.
Oh yeah, and we’re quoted in the community reaction trailer. That’s cool.
