Steam Family Sharing is now available to all users, allowing family members and guests to play one another’s games. The process is quite simple: users can request another user to authorize sharing, which will grant the user access to the other user’s library of Steam games. Naturally, there’s a limit to Steam Family Sharing, which is up to 10 devices at a given time and for up to five accounts that may use the game library on an authorized computer.
Individual games cannot be shared and some Steam games are not available for sharing. And of course, a shared library may only be accessed by one user at a time. Those that are generous in sharing will always be able to play the game even if another user is playing it. When the owner wishes to play the game, the user playing the shared copy will be given a few minutes to either purchase the game or quit playing.
