To start off the year, we’ve already gotten Xbox’s Developer_Direct and a Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase. Now, it’s Sony’s turn with a State of Play that will deliver more than 60 minutes of news, gameplay updates, and announcements. The broadcast will take place on February 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM Pacific (5:00 PM Eastern) and will feature third-party and indie titles, along with the latest from teams at PlayStation Studios. Yes, teams, as in more than one.

We know several things that are currently in the works at various PlayStation Studios. First up is the delayed Marathon, which recently got a new release date for March 5. Then, we have Housemarque’s Saros, which is set for April 30, also after a delay. Insomniac Games is readying Wolverine, which finally debuted last year, and is currently slated to launch sometime this fall. Wolverine is our most anticipated game of 2026, so we’re hoping to see more of it at the State of Play. There’s also Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, though that is being developed by Arc System Works and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Chances are, Naughty Dog will make an appearance with an update on Intergalactic since we didn’t hear about it at all in 2025.

Considering PlayStation debuted Horizon Hunters Gathering on its own and didn’t save it for this State of Play, there’s probably a good amount of exciting announcements heading our way. Personally, I’m hoping to get a teaser trailer for the third and final game in the Final Fantasy VII remake series, at least to get a name for it.
