During a stockholders call today, EA revealed that the reboot of Star Wars: Battlefront is scheduled to be released in summer 2015. EA also confirmed that Battlefront is just first of many Star Wars titles to come, as it looks forward to “develop a whole new generation of Star Wars games for the console as well as for mobile and handheld devices,” said EA CFO Blake Jorgensen.

The timing of the release for Star Wars: Battlefront will coincide with the release of the new movies, currently under works. The game was originally announced at this year’s E3 and will be developed by DICE using the Frostbite 3 game engine. It’s worth reiterating that the game will be a reboot of the series and will not be a sequel to Star Wars: Battlefront II.

Considering its release date window, it’s a safe bet that the title will emerge on PCXbox One, and PlayStation 4.
