Another gameplay mode for Star Wars Battlefront has been announced: Supremacy. The mode will focus on five control points located across a map and the objective for players will be to gain control of all five, or the majority of them before the 10-minute round is completed. Each team will begin a Supremacy match controlling two of the control points and will get dropped in fighting for control of the fifth one in the center. Once that battle is over, the control points will need to be claimed in a set order, meaning action will take place on two control points at any moment – one for each team.

According to DICE and Electronic Arts, “Supremacy is ideal for those craving all-out multiplayer action.”

Nearly all vehicles available in Star Wars Battlefront will take part in Supremacy including the iconic TIE fighters and X-wings. Adding more suspense to the mode is the addition of Heroes and Villains joining the fight, helping players give an edge against opponents in battle.

In terms of map size, Supremacy will be home to the largest maps in the game and DICE admits that Supremacy will have similarities to the Battlefield series’ Conquest mode.

“When you spawn into Supremacy, you don’t have to move far to see a lot of friends – and enemies. You’re thrown into a massive frontline, where your screen is filled with adversaries: infantry, Heroes, Walkers, and starfighters. You can prepare for very heavy and focused Star Wars™ action,” Brännvall says.
