With Miyamoto’s projects leaking onto the Internet ahead of their official debut, by the time Nintendo made it official that a Star Fox game was under development for the Wii U, everyone’s attention was elsewhere. Nonetheless, Star Fox is coming to full HD glory and will likely take advantage of the Wii U’s GamePad for a unique experience.

Along with announcing that a new Star Fox will be developed or the Wii U, Miyamoto demonstrated both Project Guard and Project Giant Robot as expected. He also hinted that the other two projects could potentially be linked to the new Star Fox game – perhaps we’ll be seeing some elements from Project Guard and Project Giant Robot for when our Star Fox heroes hit the ground.

Miyamoto himself will head up the development for the new Star Fox game heading to the Wii U and the company is adamant that it will be ready within a year.
