TIME.com has posted its interview with Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto ahead of Nintendo’s official press conference, leaking the three Wii U projects Miyamoto’s working on. In the spirit of spoilers, we have put all the information after the break.

The biggest news is that Star Fox is heading to the Wii U, reimagined with Miyamoto’s new GamePad-based controls. Along with the new control scheme that takes advantage of the Wii U’s GamePad, the Star Fox on Wii U will have a new vehicle mode that lets up to two players pilot a helicopter-like craft with one player controlling the helicopter itself and another controlling a tiny robot that can drop from a tether and roll around a limited area to either grab loot or blow up enemies. The Arwing can also morph into a land tank to rocket down to the surface and players can control it on the battlefield destroying everything in sight.

The other two projects Miyamoto revealed to TIME.com are Project Guard and Project Giant Robot. In Project Guard, the GamePad shows off a quick-jump map of a fortress with numerous laser-firing security cameras. As robots approach different entry points to the fortress, Miyamoto demonstrated having to use the GamePad to leap from camera to camera, shooting enemies and preventing their invasion. As for Project Giant Robot, players will control giant sky-scraping automatons with the Wii U GamePad and their body. Angling the GamePad while shifting their torsos will maneuver the robot’s upper body while the GamePad’s joysticks controls the robot’s ability to punch or grab. The GamePad itself will display what the robot sees while the TV sports a zoomed-back view.

Both Project Giant Robot and Project Guard are considered experimental, and the new Star Fox on Wii U is still at least a year away, according to the interview.

Nintendo’s official E3 20140 pseudo-press conference will kick off at 9:00 AM PT, so we’ll be reporting the official news shortly.
