Gamescom 2013 kicks off in Cologne, Germany on August 21, so expect plenty of game unveilings and announcements coming down the pipeline. Sony has announced that on August 20, it will be hosting its regular Gamescom press conference and promises that “the show will be packed with news on both announced and unannounced titles,” for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Vita. The conference will be streamed online on the PlayStation Blog, or on PlayStation Home at 10:00 AM PT/1:00 PM ET.

After the press conference, Sony will also have a live panel discussion hosted by Dan Maher and will include some of the biggest names in PlayStation gaming such as Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida, Beyond: Two Souls director David Cage, and Assassin’s Creed writer Darby McDevitt. The focus of the live panel discussion will be on “storytelling in games” and the first topic of discussion is actually opened to your voting right now. Last week, the PlayStation Blog asked its fans to submit the most emotional gaming moment ever and has narrowed down the list to 10 options for fans to vote on:

  • Aeris’ final scene in Final Fantasy VII
  • BioShock Infinite’s final revelation
  • The opening of The Last of Us
  • The ending of Red Dead Redemption
  • The ending of The Walking Dead
  • Shadow of the Colossus’ final scenes
  • Journey’s final scenes
  • The ending of Metal Gear Solid 4
  • The Origami Killer reveal in Heavy Rain
  • The ending of ICO

The poll will close on August 19, so get your vote in now to help decide what topic will kick off the panel.
