Ryse: Son of Rome, which debuted earlier this year at E3 to much criticism for its focus on quick time events,has released a new trailer. The latest footage of the game proves that there’s going to be a lot more to Ryse than just pushing buttons at opportune moments. The video below shows off the title’s online co-op Gladiator Mode that allows players to relive the intense and brutal battles of the Colosseum.
Ryse: Son of Rome follows Marius Titus on a heroic quest to avenge the death of his family (sound familiar?) and to preserve the honor of Rome at all costs. It will be exclusive to the Xbox One at the console’s launch. Those that have hands-on experience with the title have reported that Ryse has plenty of depth to its combat system and that quick time events as just optional finishing moves.
