The PS4 has barely been officially released for a week and Sony has announced that the PS4 1.51 update will be coming soon to the system. The PS4 1.51 system software update will be a minor one, but is required for all system owners. Stability of the system software has been improved while minor refinements to elements of the system UI will be added. Those improvements include clearly indicating when a user downloads a game and a game patch at the same time.
Owners in North America will have the PS4 1.51 update downloaded automatically when the system is in standby mode.
The Sony PS4 was originally released in North America on November 15, 2013. In its first 24 hours of availability, Sony sold over one-million consoles.
