Sony PlayStation has confirmed that State of Play will return on September 24 at 3:00pm Pacific (6:00pm Eastern). The broadcast will feature news and updates on over 20 upcoming PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2 titles and will run over 30 minutes. The timing of the event puts it right before Tokyo Game Show, which kicks off on September 26 and will mark the public debut of the PlayStation 5 Pro.
The most recent State of Play happened in May, and it’s likely one PlayStation wants fans to forget, as it provided the first in-depth look at Concord, which was shut down shortly after its launch. That presentation also confirmed God of War Ragnarök’s PC launch date, and debuted Dynasty Warriors: Origins and Where Winds Meet, along with other trailers and announcements. It’s very likely tomorrow’s presentation will confirm Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, which appeared on the ESRB’s website recently.
Other possibilities include Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, more information on LEGO Horizon Adventures, which still doesn’t have a release date (expected in 2024), and another appearance from Monster Hunter Wilds. Expect a surprise or two since PlayStation will want to build hype for the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro, so hopefully we’ll finally see more about Insomniac Games’ upcoming Wolverine.
You can catch the September 2024 State of Play at the official PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels.
