A cheery, light-hearted take on the Horizon series is heading to PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC this holiday season. Dubbed LEGO Horizon Adventures, the trailer kicked off this year’s Summer Game Fest and is essentially what you would expect as a LEGO gamified version of Horizon. The trailer features a very different Aloy, but it still sounds like it’s voiced by the talented Ashly Burch. In fact, there’s a bit of Tiny Tina’s personality leaking through, and I get the impression Burch had more fun with this rendition of Aloy. The game doesn’t appear to follow the plot of Horizon Zero Dawn or Horizon Forbidden West, but instead carries over the setting, characters, and iconic robot dinosaurs. True to LEGO games, expect plenty of unlockable costumes and collectibles in the game. Players will also be able to customize Mother’s Heart with unique LEGO buildings and ornaments.
The game is co-developed by Guerrilla and Studio Gobo and designed for two-player action without the need for split-screen. LEGO Horizon Adventures will support both local and online co-op when it launches later this year.
