Sony has unveiled the upcoming games for the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, available from September 19 to all PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members. The list features numerous games from Japan, including 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, which I consider one of the best games I’ve ever played. Developed by Vanillaware, it’s a sci-fi mystery epic woven through 13 interconnected stories. It’s an experience that’s difficult to describe, but the way the storytelling is done makes it truly one of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had in gaming. Vanillaware is also represented this month with Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, a 2D action RPG.
While NieR: Automata, another favorite of mine, isn’t in the September 2023 PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, its prequel NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is included. Additionally, Star Ocean The Divine Force, a sci-fi RPG developed by Tri-Ace and published by Square Enix, will be available this month. If you want more Star Ocean content, the fifth installment in the series, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, is also part of the lineup, along with three other games that are PlayStation Premium Classics.
