Sony has announced the PlayStation 4 Japan release date for February 22, 2014.
The PlayStation 4 will cost 39,980 yen in Japan while a bundle with the PlayStation Camera will run 43,980 yen. Sony explained that the PlayStation 4 will launch later in its home country to ensure that there will be unique games for the Japanese market when it comes out. As an apology for the delay, there will be a PlayStation 4 Limited Pack at the same price, but will include a free digital download copy of Knack.
The PlayStation 4 will be released in the U.S. and Canada on November 15, 2013, while European and Latin American markets will get the next-generation console on November 29.
The Microsoft Xbox One will be released in its initial 13 markets on November 22, 2013.
