A PlayStation 4 and Vita bundle is under consideration, admits Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s president and CEO, Jim Ryan. Recently, Sony announced a price drop for its PlayStation Vita handheld console to $199.99, and hopes that additions such as Borderlands 2 will help bolster the portable system’s sales.
Most importantly however, the Sony PlayStation 4 console will feature Remote Play, which will allow players to stream their games to their PlayStation Vita when someone else wants to use the television, or you simply want to take your game on the go. The Remote Play was a heavily advertised feature for the PlayStation 3, but few developers took advantage of it. As a result, the Vita hasn’t had stellar sales, though it has a huge lineup of indie games heading to it in the near future.
With the PlayStation 4 priced at $399.99 and the Vita now priced at $199.99, a PlayStation 4 and Vita bundle priced around $549.99 would be a great deal for gamers and is feasible for Sony. Or, Sony could set the price at $599.99 and throw in a nice memory card for the Vita.
Of course, we wouldn’t expect any bundles to actually make an appearance until after the launch wave of PlayStation 4 systems are taken care of.
