Nintendo has shared its year in review, allowing players to see how they spent their time with Switch and Switch 2 last year. As usual, you’ll get a summary of how many games you played and for how long during the year, followed by the games you spent the most time with. Then, it breaks down your favorite kind of game on the Switch platforms, and your gaming style by genre. You also get a timeline of how many hours you played throughout the year, with a month-by-month slideshow of the games. Nintendo is also asking you to vote on your favorite game of the year. If that’s not enough, you can also go back in time to see all your year-in-review summaries, back to 2017.

As for myself, I played 14 games on the Switch and Switch 2 last year for a total of 194 hours, with Xenoblade Chronicles X leading the way at 70 hours, followed by Pokémon Legends: Z-A at 32 hours, and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond at 25 hours. I started off the year playing 1000xRESIST and revisiting Final Fantasy X HD Remaster, before spending March and April with Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition. In June, with the launch of the Switch 2, I spent my time going through Mario Kart World, before Donkey Kong Bananza arrived, consuming me for July and August. I then took a break from the Switch as September was full of releases on other platforms, before going back with Pokémon Legends: Z-A in October. I closed off the year by enjoying Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment in November, and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond in December.

All in all, I enjoyed the Switch 2 experience for its launch year, with several exclusives that were a ton of fun to play, especially Donkey Kong Bananza. I’m looking forward to what Nintendo is bringing this year.
