Nintendo has announced an Indie World Showcase for October 28 at 7:00 AM Pacific (10:00 AM Eastern), with roughly 15 minutes of announcements and updates on indie games heading to the Switch and Switch 2. As with every Indie World, this isn’t a Nintendo Direct, so don’t expect any first-party announcements; Nintendo already held two Directs back in September for its own lineup, one dedicated to The Legend of Zelda’s 40th anniversary and a standard broadcast the following day.

The last Indie World Showcase was back on March 3, and it ended with Blue Prince shadow-dropping on the Switch 2 the same day at a launch price of $19.79. Ahead of that broadcast, I said I’d like to see both Blue Prince and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 make their way to the Switch 2, and I got one of the two. Blue Prince, which I reviewed last year, is a game I’ve called one of the best games I’ve ever played. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 didn’t show up, though, and it still hasn’t been announced for the Switch 2.
