One of our favorite games of 2025 and one of the best games I’ve ever played, Blue Prince, launches on the Nintendo Switch 2 today. The announcement came at the end of today’s Indie World Showcase, something I hoped to see, but didn’t think would happen because it’s such a highly acclaimed game. It’s a good move by Nintendo, though, because it gives us hope that Indie World Showcases will always be exciting. My other prediction, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, did not make an appearance, though.

As for Blue Prince, it’s an extremely well-designed puzzle game from developer Dogubomb. You can learn more about Blue Prince in my review, but the game has players exploring a mansion, drafting rooms, and solving puzzles at their own pace. You have the freedom to go as slow or as fast as you like, and I found it nothing short of brilliant. That being said, I can also fully understand why someone would find Blue Prince absolutely boring.

Still, Switch 2 players can now see what it’s all about. Its normal price is $29.99, but there’s a special launch price of $19.79 until March 11 at 11:59 PM Pacific (March 12 at 2:59 AM Eastern).
