Square Enix announced Dragon Quest Smash/Grow back in September, and after a closed beta test, the roguelite RPG is officially launching on April 20 at 8:00 PM Pacific (11:00 PM Eastern) on Android and iOS. For those unfamiliar with the game, it’s essentially a Vampire Survivors-style experience set in the Dragon Quest universe, where players smash through hordes of familiar monsters like slimes, drackies, and killing machines, then finish them off with the series’ signature Coup de Grâce attacks.

The game features a mechanical sidekick named Roly, voiced by Toshio Furukawa, who accompanies the protagonist on their adventure. Random Blessings let players adapt their character growth and battle strategy on the fly, so no two runs play out the same way.

Ahead of launch, Square Enix has released an opening trailer created by animation studio Kamikaze Douga. Players who preregister on the App Store or Google Play will receive 10 Premium Transmuter Vouchers, which is enough for 10 Premium Transmuter pulls to kickstart their adventure.
