The story of Mighty No. 9′s success continues, with just five hours left on the Kickstarter. We’ll be the first to admit that we thought it’d be a stretch that the project would reach over $3.5-million funding, but here it is. Mighty No. 9 will be heading to every current and next-generation console imaginable, including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Vita and 3DS.
Comcept has also added new stretch goals at $3.7 million (single player Call stage & boss), $3.8 million (optional retro-style Chiptune soundtrack + FX) and $4 million (online battle race mode). With nearly 62,000 backers to the project now, the expectations will be high for Mighty No. 9 but that’s one thing we won’t be skeptical about. The team behind the project and everything it has shown off so far makes us feel confident that Mighty No. 9 will be an instant classic once it is released.
