Marvel Rivals is teaming up with Marvel Animation to bring the game’s first-ever PvE mode, Zombie Mode. Inspired by the recent Marvel Zombies animated series on Disney+, the mode lets players take on endless waves of zombies and bosses, such as Zombie Namor and The Queen of the Dead, as Thor, Blade, Magik, Jeff, and The Punisher. To help even the odds, heroes get unique abilities in Zombie Mode, such as Jeff charging through hordes, Blade gaining bouncing Moon Blades, Thor’s persistent Awakened state shocking zombies, and Magik unlocking her unlimited Darkchild form.

Based on the announcement trailer, Zombie Mode will feature teams of four taking on endless hordes of zombies. Details on what rewards await haven’t been announced, but NetEase Games did promise that an official trailer is coming soon. All we know is that the mode goes live on October 23, 2025, UTC, but there’s no word yet on the exact time or whether it will end.

Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play, team-based PvP shooter currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
