Life is Strange Episode 1, titled Chrysalis, will be free to download starting July 21, 2016 on the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Developed by Dontnod Entertainment, Life is Strange spans five episodes and tells the story of Maxine Caulfield, a photography student that discovers she has the mysterious power of being able to rewind time. Like other episodic games, your decisions affect what happens; and with the ability to rewind time, you can see how the other options would play out.

Life is Strange Episode 1 was first released on January 30, 2015 and the game went on to become one of the best surprises of last year once the final episode, Polarized, was released on October 20, 2015. It also went on to win various awards and has an awesome soundtrack to boot.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out Life is Strange yet, tomorrow is a great time to start. It has a very touching, heartfelt story and will leave you wanting more when it ends.

You can also grab the remaining four episodes for $16.99 once you’ve played through the first episode.
