When Saber Interactive revealed Stuntman: Hollywood at June’s State of Play, we called it probably the most surprising debut of the show, and possibly the most interesting. Today, the action-racing game resurfaced at the XBOX gamescom broadcast with a new trailer confirming Jurassic World as the next blockbuster franchise joining its lineup.
The reveal comes from a collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, and the trailer offers a first look at movie sets inspired by the Jurassic World films, complete with high-speed chases and run-ins with the franchise’s dinosaurs. Since the whole game is built around filmmaking, those dinosaurs are on-set special effects rather than live threats. Remember, in Stuntman: Hollywood, you’re a stunt driver hitting marks on a working set. Jurassic World joins a roster of Universal Pictures films and NBCUniversal television series that already includes Fast & Furious, Back to the Future, Knight Rider, Miami Vice, and Death Race.
As a refresher, Stuntman: Hollywood is a single-player action-racing game that casts you as an up-and-coming stuntman performing stunts inspired by some of the biggest properties on Universal’s shelf. You’ll chain together jumps, drifts, and near-misses to climb the ranks, unlocking new challenges, vehicles, and bigger set pieces as you go. The vehicle list includes K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider and the Time Machine from Back to the Future, alongside a mix of supercars, muscle cars, and motorcycles.
There’s still no release date attached to Stuntman: Hollywood, which was also the case back when it was revealed in June. The game is available to wishlist now on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
