Hotline Miami will arrive on the PS4 August 19, Sony has announced. The high-octane action game is set in an alternative 1989 Miami and players will take on the role of a mysterious antihero on a murderous rampage against the shady underworld.
Hotline Miami was originally released for the PC on October 23, 2012 before heading to the Mac platform on March 19, 2013. PlayStation gamers got to first enjoy Hotline Miami when it arrived on the PS3 and Vita on June 25, 2013. Considering it has never been available on the Xbox platforms, those that made the switch to Sony for the PS4 will finally get to check out the popular game.
Unique features to Hotline Miami on the PS4 include the ability to use the DualShock 4’s touch pad to look around and lock on enemies, while actually shaking the controller will perform execution moves when you have an enemy pinned on the ground. The game also takes advantage of the DualShock 4’s speaker, emitting the sounds of those execution moves.
