Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is a new open-world arcade racer from Milestone and Mattel, launching September 24 after its reveal at Summer Game Fest yesterday. It moves beyond the brand’s signature orange tracks, dropping players into freely explorable, Hot Wheels-sized environments built for both racing and free-roaming.

The world spans four themed islands, each with its own look, that players can sky-jump between as they race, smash through obstacles, and dig up hidden collectibles. It leans on a mix of structured racing and free exploration rather than committing to just one. Cars number more than 150 across four classes, each with its own handling and upgrades, which players collect into a “Rush Squad” to bring into events. The lineup runs from original Hot Wheels designs to licensed vehicles from premium automotive brands, with Ferrari among the names confirmed.

Multiplayer covers online races with full cross-play support and local split-screen for up to four players, spread across competitive modes, leaderboards, and asynchronous challenges. Creation tools return and expand, with the Sticker and Livery editors now adding wheel customization and the track builder gaining a ground-snapping system that attaches modules directly onto the ground to use the full scale of the environments. Players can also place action markers to script the paths of virtual opponents, and every finished track can be shared across platforms.

Early access opens three days ahead of launch, on September 21, with the full release following on September 24. Infinite Rush is coming to PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, the Microsoft Store, and the Epic Games Store, and Milestone lists the ROG XBOX Ally and ROG XBOX Ally X among supported handhelds as well.
