Today’s Nintendo Direct was packed full of surprise announcements, including several first-party titles such as Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Super Mario Party Jamboree, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and Metroid Prime 4. While it was great to see Metroid Prime 4 revealed with a 2025 release window, we found The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom to be the most exciting game of the presentation. Not only will we get to play as Zelda in a main title, but the echoes mechanic looks to give players the sandbox-type freedom that Tears of the Kingdom offers, albeit in a 2D setting. We’re also excited to get another Mario Party game, and finally, see Mario & Luigi head to the Switch.
