In a surprising reveal, Halo Infinite has confirmed a third-person mode is launching this November. A franchise that changed first-person shooters forever is seemingly looking to capture the Fortnite crowd with the move. In fact, the gameplay shared in today’s social media post gives off strong Fortnite vibes. Nonetheless, it’s a feature players have been asking for and 343 Industries confirmed it’s coming during a Forge panel at the 2024 Halo World Championship.
This marks the first time in Halo franchise history that players will have a third-person mode, and it’ll be interesting to see if it impacts future Halo games. Halo Infinite initially launched in 2021 and over the years it’s gotten continued support and improvements. However, for the most part, the franchise has lost much of its appeal over the years, and the recent live adaptation didn’t help.
