Arizona Sunshine Launches January 21 at $24.99

The third-person take on Arizona Sunshine that Vertigo Games announced back in June now has a release date of January 21, 2027, for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. That’s a slide out of the later-this-year window Vertigo gave at the time, and the game will cost $24.99, with a Deluxe Edition available for $29.99. Alongside the date, Vertigo released a new trailer centered on Sunny and his dog, Buddy, and how the two keep each other going through the zombie-infested wasteland.

Arizona Sunshine puts players in the role of Sunny, a dark-humored survivor who has spent far too much time alone in the Arizona desert, as he and Buddy set off on a sun-drenched road trip across the wasteland. It’s the first time the series has been built for a third-person perspective rather than VR, with the story playable solo, in two-player online co-op, or in local split-screen. In multiplayer, the second player can even take control of Buddy, which the June announcement called a first for the series.

The Deluxe Edition adds the Arizona Sunshine Legacy DLC Pack, which includes the original Arizona Sunshine Legacy campaign and its Dead Man and The Damned DLC, along with the Neon Wastelander Pack and Fred’s Fashion Pack. Preorders are open now on Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and XBOX Series X|S, with Switch 2 preorders coming at a later date. Preordering on Steam, the Epic Games Store, or PlayStation 5 gets you 20 percent off, and every preorder on any platform includes the Desert Raiders Pack with an exclusive Sunny skin and an exclusive Buddy skin. Deluxe Edition preorders on all platforms also come with 48-hour early access to the game.
