Bandai Namco brought a new mech game to Summer Game Fest 2026, revealing Gundam Rogue Orbit, a high-mobility action game it is positioning as a bold new take on the long-running franchise. Shown off with an announcement trailer, the game is set in an all-new universe and is heading to PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC in 2027.

According to the official description, players step into the cockpit of the Gundam Helix and join a rag-tag crew of unsung soldiers as humanity faces a powerful unknown threat. Bandai Namco is leaning on fast, hard-hitting melee combat that rewards skill and quick, decisive action, wrapped in a cinematic story the publisher is pitching as both an entry point for newcomers and an evolution for longtime fans.

Bandai Namco kept the rest of the details light for now, offering no specific release date and little beyond the reveal trailer itself. That leaves the 2027 launch window as the main detail confirmed so far.
