Ahead of the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on February 29, Square Enix and Fathom Events, in collaboration with Sony Pictures, have announced that Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete will be shown in U.S. movie theaters for the first time. This director’s cut will be shown in theaters for two days only: the dubbed version on February 21 and the subbed version on February 22.

In addition, exclusive introductory content will be played ahead of the movie, including a history of Final Fantasy VII and its connection to Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. These segments will also feature gameplay from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and include interviews with Tetsuya Nomura, Naoki Hamaguchi, and Yoshinori Kitase. For those unfamiliar with Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete, the director’s cut is 26 minutes longer than the original theatrical version and features approximately 1,000 revised scenes.

As one of our most anticipated games of the year, Final Fantasy VII is set to launch on the PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024.
