Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S gamers finally got to experience Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade when it launched on those consoles on January 22, 2026. Now, they won’t have to wait much longer to experience the second entry in the trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, when it launches on June 3, 2026. Currently, I consider Final Fantasy VII Rebirth the best game I’ve ever played, and I spent over 200 hours earning the Platinum Trophy when it first launched on PlayStation 5. I also purchased it on PC, where I found the experience to be even better. I probably won’t purchase it a third time on the Switch 2, but I’m really happy that Switch 2 and Xbox gamers can enjoy this epic RPG.

Digital preorders are now open on all platforms, with the Xbox Series X|S version getting a 20 percent discount until June 10, 2026. The Digital Deluxe Edition preorder on either platform includes extra items: the Moogle Trio Summoning Materia, Posh Chocobo Summoning Materia, Armor: Shinra Bangle Mk. II, and Armor: Midgar Bangle Mk. II. These are in addition to the standard bonuses: the Magic Pot Summoning Materia, Accessory: Reclaimant Choker, Armor: Orchid Bracelet, digital artbook, and mini-soundtrack. Anyone who preorders the physical Nintendo Switch 2 edition will receive one Magic: The Gathering – Final Fantasy Zack Fair card with variant art by Tetsuya Nomura, while supplies last.

Like Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth also includes the Streamlined Progression feature. That gives players unlimited MP and HP at all times, an unlimited limit and ATB gauge during battles, 9,999 damage, easier weapon ability acquisition, and more. It’s ideal for players who want to focus more on the story by streamlining the gameplay.

With today’s announcement, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PlayStation 5 and PC will also get a permanent price reduction starting February 9, 2026. The Standard Edition will now cost $49.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition will be $69.99. The Digital Twin Pack that includes both entries in the remake series will run $79.99, while the Digital Twin Pack Deluxe Edition will be $99.99.
