Final Fantasy VI is now available on iOS devices, Square Enix announced today. The game is priced at $15.99 on the Apple App Store and has been remade with new graphics, intuitive user-friendly controls for touch screens and game data can be saved with iCloud so that it can be shared across devices. The battle interface to Final Fantasy VI has been overhauled for smartphones and tablets while the magicites and events that were introduced in the 2006 remake also make a return.
Other additions to the mobile remake of Final Fantasy VI include an album feature that allows players to revisit the story of the game and hints from Mog if players are stuck in the game.
Final Fantasy VI was originally released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994 as Final Fantasy III. The iOS version of Final Fantasy VI is compatible with the iPhone 4S and above, iPad 2 and above, and the iPod Touch 5th generation and above.
