This past week, the crafting survival game Palworld has taken the internet by storm, which could be seen as unfortunate for any other game that’s even remotely similar. However, Enshrouded launched into Early Access today as a co-op survival action RPG supporting up to 16 players. The game shares more similarities with Valheim than with Palworld and could benefit from Palworld’s popularity, especially for those seeking another co-op base-building game.

Developed by Keen Games, a German indie studio, Enshrouded is set in a sprawling voxel-based continent. As with many crafting survival games, players begin with nothing and must scavenge through the ruins of an ancient kingdom. The base-building aspect of the game looks impressive, though we’re uncertain when we’ll be able to explore it ourselves, since Palworld currently has our attention.
