A week before Enshrouded leaves Early Access on October 15, Keen Games has revealed Sparkworks, a set of creator tools that lets players turn their shared worlds into playable adventures rather than places visitors can only look around. Sparkworks expands Adventure Sharing, the feature that lets players upload their version of Embervale for others to visit, so creators can design their own mini-games, dungeons, and other experiences. Keen says the tools will keep evolving based on player feedback after 1.0 launches on PC and PlayStation 5, with the XBOX Series X|S version still slated for spring 2027.

At the center of Sparkworks are Switchboxes, which players build and then link to trigger zones, levers, buttons, and other interactions using the Sparkworks Tool. The tool also includes operators like clocks, blocks, and logic gates such as NOT and OR, so an outcome only fires once a certain condition has been met. Those outcomes range from environmental events like a lightning strike or a water release to an enemy spawning or a trap door opening. Keen’s own examples include a lever that spawns an enemy, a pressure-sensitive floor that opens a secret hallway, and a room labeled “DO NOT ENTER, RISK OF EXPLOSION” that blows up the moment someone walks in.

Adventure Sharing first arrived in April with Forging the Path, the final Early Access update, and at the time Keen said future updates would add logic systems, interactive elements, puzzles, enemy spawning, and traps. From the in-game menu, players can browse Popular Adventures, filter by tags, look up specific worlds with Share Codes, and subscribe to their favorite worlds to see new adventures as they’re added. When Keen laid out its 1.0 plans in January, we called it one of the most impressive crafting survival games we’ve ever played, though we were only about 20 hours in before StarRupture pulled our attention elsewhere. Enshrouded is $39.99 on both Steam and the PlayStation Store.

Keen also shared a global launch map, and Enshrouded 1.0 unlocks at the same moment worldwide on Steam and PlayStation 5 at 8:00 AM Pacific (11:00 AM Eastern) on Thursday, October 15. That means players in Tokyo, Sydney, and Auckland get in on Friday, October 16, local time. Here’s the full list of unlock times by city:
