Anyone who purchases Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World by January 4, 2027 will receive the Adventure Starter Set, an early purchase bonus detailed alongside the game’s release date trailer. The set bundles 10 Monster Munchies, three Bonus Balls, and five Seeds of Skill, and it applies to both the standard game and the Deluxe Edition. As we covered previously, The Withered World launches on December 3 for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and XBOX on PC.
The upcoming RPG follows fledgling monster wranglers Bianca and Nera, two girls who find themselves lost in the kingdom of Witherwood and gain the power to turn monsters into friends. Spot a monster you fancy and you can scout it, win it over, and add it to your battle party, with the roster pulling familiar faces from across the Dragon Quest series. Synthesis returns as well. Combining two monsters produces a more powerful ally for taking on the game’s most fearsome foes.
The Withered World adds to what has already been a packed year for the franchise, which celebrated its 40th anniversary with a wave of announcements back in May. That early purchase window, though, extends a full month past launch, so holiday shoppers can still walk away with the starter items without preordering.
