Dave the Diver finally has a date for its mobile debut, with Mintrocket announcing today that the RPG-management-simulation mashup arrives on Android and iOS on September 17. The date lands about a month past the August window the studio gave during June’s Dev Dive showcase, where the mobile version was confirmed for a global release following its debut in China.

The mobile port isn’t launching light on content, either. Some of the game’s most popular DLC packs will be available at launch, including the DREDGE content pack and In the Jungle, the expansion that arrived on other platforms in June as the game’s biggest to date. Everyone who purchases the base game also gets the Dave the Diver Digital Extra, which can be accessed within the game.

Mintrocket has added a handful of features specifically for handheld play, and one of them is my favorite kind of ridiculous. The tea-pouring motion at Bancho Sushi now runs on gyro tilt controls, so you physically tilt your phone to pour, just as if it were a real teapot. I’ve called Dave the Diver one of the most unique games I’ve played in the past few years because it mixes deep-sea exploration and fishing with managing a sushi restaurant, down to pouring tea, so leaning into that detail with motion controls fits the game perfectly. The mobile version also gets a three-level view distance option, and players can fast travel between NPCs in the Sea People’s Village for quicker progression.

Dave the Diver was one of the great surprises of 2023, passing one million sales shortly after leaving Early Access and climbing past six million copies as of November 2025. Preregistration for the mobile version is open now on the App Store and Google Play ahead of the September 17 launch.
