Porting its first major game to consoles turned out to be tougher than Perfect Garbage expected, so Grave Seasons is no longer launching in fall 2026 and will instead release on March 9, 2027. The cozy horror farming sim from Blumhouse Games is coming to PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch, and PC via Steam, and it’s also still headed to XBOX Game Pass. In a new devlog, the team said it did everything it could to hit its fall goal, but it’s now working with a porting partner to make sure the console launches go smoothly.
The extra time has already gone toward changes that make Grave Seasons work better with controllers, including a radial menu for quicker access and a button you can hold down to rotate on farming plots. Perfect Garbage says the game has also been optimized to run well on Switch and on a wider range of PC specs. Grave Seasons is now content complete, with the PC build locked while the team focuses on polish and bug fixes for the ports. The rest of the devlog looks back at three years of development, including early prototypes that let you pickpocket NPCs before that idea was replaced by Breaking and Entering with a crowbar.
Grave Seasons was first dated for August 14 during the XBOX Partner Preview back in March, and it later showed up as one of XBOX’s Summer Game Fest 2026 spotlights with a roughly hour-long demo. When it was dated, I said I was kind of surprised it took this long for someone to make a cozy farming sim where a supernatural serial killer starts picking off the townsfolk. It had over 400,000 Steam wishlists back then, and Blumhouse Games says that number is now past 750,000.
