Ubisoft’s Creative House 2 now has a name, and it’s Massive Entertainment, which becomes the global label for Tom Clancy’s The Division, Ghost Recon, and Splinter Cell, along with new original IP like March of Giants. Starting today, the development teams working on those franchises in Montreal, Paris, Sweden, and Toronto operate under the Massive Entertainment brand, which builds on the nearly three decades the studio has spent making games and technology in Sweden. Massive Entertainment remains part of Ubisoft, which publishes and distributes everything developed under the label, and Ubisoft says there’s no change to ongoing commitments for players or partners.

Ubisoft appointed Christoph Hartmann as General Manager of Creative House 2 on July 1, and he now carries the title of General Manager of Massive Entertainment. He was most recently a vice president at Amazon Games, and Ubisoft described Creative House 2 at the time as one of five Creative Houses in its new structure, focused on competitive and cooperative battlefield-based games. Hartmann said putting the teams under one identity lets them combine their expertise across all four locations to shape the next generation of these franchises, create new games and IP, and push their craft and technology forward.

March of Giants is the free-to-play 4v4 MOBA that Ubisoft acquired along with Amazon Games Montreal in December 2025, and it joined Creative House 2 as part of the July announcement. That deal also brought Rainbow Six Siege’s original creative director, Xavier Marquis, and former Ubisoft Toronto managing director Alex Parizeau back to Ubisoft.
