Remedy Entertainment’s supernatural action-adventure Control is now available on iPhone and iPad. Control Ultimate Edition, which includes the base game and both expansions (The Foundation and AWE), is available as a universal purchase on the App Store. That means a single purchase grants access across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, the latter of which got its version of Control Ultimate Edition last year. Pricing comes in at $9.99, which is a fair price to ask for a game that won over 80 awards on release and still holds up as one of Remedy’s best.

According to Remedy, it’s leveraging Apple’s latest silicon for the port. Control on iPhone and iPad supports MetalFX Upscaling for improved image quality, MetalFX Frame Interpolation for smoother gameplay, and on supported devices, hardware-accelerated ray tracing for enhanced lighting and reflections. Touch controls, the interface, and gameplay systems have all been reworked for smaller screens, and the game also supports compatible external controllers for anyone who’d rather not rely on touch inputs.

For anyone who missed it the first time around, Control puts players in the role of Jesse Faden, the new Director of the Federal Bureau of Control, a secretive government agency under siege by an otherworldly threat. The Oldest House, where the game takes place, is one of the most memorable video game settings in recent memory, with shifting environments, Brutalist architecture, and a sense of unease that never quite lets up. It’s one of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had, which is pretty much what Remedy Entertainment is known for at this point.

The timing of this release makes sense since Control Resonant, the long-awaited sequel that follows Jesse’s younger brother Dylan into a warped Manhattan, is set to release sometime this year. It’s one of our most anticipated games of 2026, and bringing the original to iPhone and iPad gives people a way to experience it before the sequel arrives. At $9.99, Control Ultimate Edition is an easy recommendation for anyone with a compatible Apple device who wants to get caught up before Dylan takes the stage.
