In less than a week, the City of Titans Kickstarter has already reached its funding goal of $320,000. Previously known as The Phoenix Project, City of Titans is being billed as a spiritual successor to the popular, but now gone MMORPG City of Heroes. With 27 days still left on the Kickstarter, Missing Worlds Media hasn’t announced any stretch goals as of yet but additional funds will likely go towards financing middleware or to license established systems from other developers.
City of Titans hasn’t secured the actual rights to City of Heroes or City of Villains, but will be a super-hero MMORPG that focuses on character “attitude” rather than skills or classes.
