After what feels like an eternity, Capcom has confirmed that Pragmata has gone gold, meaning development is complete and the game is ready for its April 17 launch. If you’ve been following this game since its debut in 2020, you can now be excited that there are no more delays.

Pragmata was originally announced during the PlayStation 5 reveal stream with a 2022 release window, but it went through a series of delays, including an indefinite one in 2023. The game finally resur faced at Summer Game Fest last year and received a firm release date at The Game Awards 2025. That date was originally April 24 before Capcom moved it up a week during its most recent Capcom Spotlight broadcast.

For those unfamiliar with Pragmata, it’s a sci-fi action-adventure game set on a lunar research station in the near future. Players control both spacefarer Hugh and his android companion Diana simultaneously as they fight hostile AI and try to make their way back to Earth. The game is built on Capcom’s RE Engine and features a unique hacking-based combat system where Diana disables enemy defenses while Hugh attacks their weak points. A free demo called Pragmata Sketchbook is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC for anyone who wants to try it before launch.

Pragmata launches on April 17 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC.
