Angry Birds Stella has been announced by Rovio Entertainment as the next spin off in the ever-growing Angry Birds universe. According to Rovio, Stella and her friends are “a group of feisty characters with a shared love for fun, adventure and creativity.” The story of Stella will bring fans of the Angry Birds franchise to parts of the world they’ve never seen before.
The company also explained that Angry Birds Stella will be all about “inspiration, empowerment and other real issues,” but presented in a fun and entertaining way. The franchise will result in games, animation, toys, books and other retail products for many years to come, hinting that Angry Birds Stella is a long-term investment for Rovio.
“Angry Birds Stella is breaking the mold by introducing strong, passionate characters who really stand for something, while adding plenty of action and reality into the mix,” said Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio Entertainment. “The Angry Birds Stella story will live and evolve across physical and digital, bridging them in fun and innovative ways.
