Riot Games has officially announced that 2XKO will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S globally starting January 20, 2026. The free-to-play 2v2 fighting game’s launch on consoles coincides with the start of Season 1, which means a new champion, Battle Pass, and more. The game will support cross-platform play and progression, so those who have been playing it on PC can keep their progress if they wish to play on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.

2XKO entered Early Access in October 2025, along with the launch of Season 0 and the introduction of Teemo and Warwick. There’s no official word yet on who will be introduced in Season 1, but Riot has a lot of options to draw from in the League of Legends universe. What we do know is that Season 1 sees the introduction of Frame Perfect, a competitive-themed skin set where a portion of proceeds goes toward supporting TOs around the world.

If you haven’t been paying attention, Riot Games decided against spinning up its own competitive league for 2XKO, and instead, is directly supporting existing fighting game events. For this year, Riot will partner directly with community organizers on 20 Riot-sanctioned tournaments around the world, with five Major events and 15 Challenger events in total. The first Major event is Frosty Faustings, from January 29 to February 1. Three Challenger events have also been announced: Genesis X3 from February 13 to February 15, Texas Showdown from March 27 to March 29, and Viennality from March 28 to March 29.
