Riot Games used the 2XKO finals at Evo 2026 to reveal the fighting game’s next two champions, Lux, the Lady of Luminosity, and Samira, the Desert Rose. The pair round out the first pass of DLC characters for the League of Legends-based fighter, with full gameplay trailers promised later this year.
For now, both got only a brief first look in an Evo trailer rather than a full rundown. Lux will arrive first, with her complete gameplay trailer expected in the fall, followed by Samira, who lands as the last of the six DLC champions Riot committed to for the year. That wraps the first pass. The reveal also caps a busy stretch for 2XKO, which recently added Thresh and Senna and rolled out its first PvE mode.
2XKO is free-to-play on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC, having reached consoles back in January alongside its first full season. The new champions arrive a few months after Riot reduced the size of the 2XKO team, a move I noted carried the usual corporate sugarcoating about momentum not meeting expectations. The characters Riot promised are still arriving, even if the momentum questions I raised back then haven’t gone anywhere.
