Last year, the Xbox brand began to pivot, bringing its games cross-platform to PlayStation 5 and Switch. It also kicked off its “This Is an Xbox” campaign, effectively focusing more on Cloud Gaming and less on its own consoles. That’s become more evident this year, as the Xbox brand has partnered with all sorts of other companies like the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition and the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds. The latest product collaboration is all the evidence you need that Xbox is just trying to reach as many people as possible with its brand: Xbox Classic Clogs from Crocs.

The exclusive collection is a controller-meets-clog design for $80, while an Xbox 5-Pack of Jibbitz Charms for $20 features characters and icons from Halo, Fallout, DOOM, World of Warcraft, and Sea of Thieves. As for the clogs themselves, they reimagine the Xbox controller with fixed buttons and joysticks with cushioned footbeds highlighted by Player Left and Player Right labels.

It’s a pretty unexpected product collaboration, but I have a feeling this won’t be the last. Xbox is clearly taking a new direction with its marketing, and it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out in the coming years.
