Microsoft has revealed the next wave of games heading to Xbox Game Pass for September 2023, starting with the previously announced Lies of P (Cloud, Console, and PC), which is available day one with Game Pass, starting today. This soulslike game offers a unique perspective on the story of Pinocchio and is set against the elegant backdrop of the Belle Epoque era. Tomorrow, September 20, subscribers can play Party Animals (Cloud and Console), yet another title available on its release day. Players get to choose from a diverse cast of adorable animals, fighting with or against their friends across multiple game modes in this interesting take on the battle royale genre.

On September 21, the highly anticipated Payday 3 (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) launches as a day one title with Game Pass. The sequel to one of the most popular co-op shooters, Payday 3 looks to introduce a whole new generation to the world of planning and executing the perfect heist. Later this month, Cocoon (Console and PC) will be available starting September 29. Another day one title, this game will take players on an adventure across worlds within worlds. It’s from Jeppe Carlsen, the lead gameplay designer of Limbo and Inside.

Heading into next month, Gotham Knights (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) and The Lamplighter’s League (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) will both be available starting October 3. Gotham Knights explores the story of Gotham City following Batman’s death through the eyes of the Batman Family: Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin. In The Lamplighter’s League, players will sneak, steal, and shoot their way through a world of pulp adventure with a strategic turn-based combat system. The Lamplighter’s League will also be a day one title with Game Pass.
